Who am I?

I spent the summer of 2019 freelancing for Denver Westword and writing about criminal justice reform for Kaiser Health News. I most recently finished interning in Washington, D.C. at Politico Magazine.

Born in Colorado, I moved to Montana in 2015 to attend the University of Montana Journalism School. I worked as a freelance journalist, backpacking guide, river guide, and news reporter. I graduated in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Survived my first day reporting at the White House, Oct. 2019.

My reporting experience ranges from breaking news to in-depth features, criminal justice to underground music scenes, and outdoor adventure sports to government.  Visit my Portfolio to read what I have written.

My passion to understand and explore all people’s stories and realities and translate them into engaging narratives for others motivates me. Contact me with any questions or inquires and take a look at my Résumé.
